The EMPI Stainless Steel Hood Handle Guard installs behind the hood handle on 1968 through 1977 VW Standard Beetles and 1971 through 1979 Super Beetles. The hood handle guard helps protect the paint next to the handle from getting scratched by fingernails and fingers reaching in to open up the hood. A gasket is included to help prevent the guard from scratching the paint.
